Sen. Tim Scott called out the Democrats for pressing the nationalization of regional authorities departments, arguing that it is ‘not the American method.’ Sen. LAW ENFORCEMENT BLAME ‘DEFUND THE POLICE,’ LIBERAL PROSECUTORS FOR DRAMATIC SPIKE IN ASSAULTS ON POLICE

TIM SCOTT: Two things hold true. I’m still at the table 2 years in a row. They left. What they desired to do were 2 essential things I entirely disagree with. Top is to nationalize all regional cops. That is not the American method. And second, there were 11 areas that either minimized financing, made departments disqualified for financing, which, to me, suggests defunding the authorities by a little thousand cuts. Those 2 things, I will not concur with. We did make development on the chokeholds and no-knock warrants, we made development on authorities cams, however in the end, modification needs resources. We can not ask policeman to enter into some really hazardous scenarios without the devices or the workforce. Nearly 400 jobs in Baltimore City today since they can’t hire officers. You do not demonize, demoralize and defund authorities and after that request for much better policing. It’s simply not the method …

Imagine, 81%of African Americans stating that they desire the very same level of policing or more policing, and the cities that they reside in are cutting the cops spending plans. That sounds contrary to truth.
